Marenn is a journaling and self-reflection app, operated by Maksimilian Gaiduchenko. This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect and how we handle it.
What we collect
The things you write to Marenn; a private summary (“memory”) that Marenn builds from your conversations so it can reflect them back to you over time; and basic account and session information that keeps your conversations connected to you. We do not store your card details — payment is handled by our payment provider (below).
Where it lives
Your conversations and memory are stored on our servers, tied to your account or session — not only on your device.
Third-party AI
To generate Marenn’s responses, the text you write is sent to a third-party AI model provider (Anthropic). Their handling of that text is governed by their own terms.
Payments
Payments, invoices, and tax are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for your purchase. Paddle handles your payment information; we receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your card details.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your conversations and memory while your account is active, so Marenn can remember you over time. You can ask us to delete your data, and we will remove it from our systems.
Our approach
We aim to handle your information responsibly and in line with applicable privacy law. We do not claim that your data never leaves your device, that we never see it, or that nothing is ever retained.
